ORDER OF THE DAY
13:00 - 13:30 - Private Ceremony at The Elms
Legal Ceremony - Invite only - Close Family & Friends Our ceremony at The Elms Hotel, Retford will be a small, private gathering with immediate family and a few close friends. Due to the ceremony room’s limited capacity, we’re keeping this part of the day intimate and personal. The Elms provides a beautiful setting for this quieter moment, where we’ll exchange our vows before joining everyone else later in the day. We’re really looking forward to celebrating the rest of the wedding with all our guests at the reception, where the evening festivities begin and everyone can be part of the celebrations.
14:00 - 15:00 - Reception Drinks
Once the ceremony has concluded, guests will be invited to join those arriving for the wedding breakfast to mingle and enjoy reception drinks in the main bar at The Elms. This is a lovely moment for everyone to come together, greet one another, and settle into the celebrations. During this time, we’ll be taking the opportunity to capture some beautiful photographs with our closest family and friends in a relaxed and natural setting, while everyone enjoys a drink and the atmosphere of the afternoon. The reception drinks offer a gentle and enjoyable start to the day’s celebrations, giving everyone time to chat, take photos, and look forward to the wedding breakfast and evening ahead.
15:00 - 17:00 - Wedding Breakfast
Wedding Breakfast - Invite Only, After the ceremony, we will be hosting a three-course wedding breakfast, shared with a larger group of our family and friends. This part of the day offers a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere where we can sit down together, enjoy a lovely meal, and celebrate the first moments of married life. Guests invited to the wedding breakfast will receive menu cards closer to the time, sent out alongside the formal invitations. These will include the available meal options so you can choose in advance. We kindly ask that all menu selections are returned by 1st October, as this helps us finalise numbers and secure your place at the wedding breakfast. The wedding breakfast is a moment we’re truly looking forward to — a chance to enjoy good food, raise a glass, and share this special part of the day with those joining us, before the evening celebrations begin.
16:30 - 17:00 - Speeches
During the wedding breakfast, we will be inviting a few selected family members and friends to share a short, personalised speech. This is one of the most heartfelt parts of the day, giving those closest to us the chance to reflect, celebrate, and tell a few stories that mean something special to us. The speeches will be light-hearted, genuine, and personal, offering a lovely moment for everyone to pause, laugh, and enjoy the warmth of the occasion. It’s an opportunity for us to hear from the people who have supported us, shaped us, and shared some of our most meaningful moments. We’re really looking forward to this part of the celebration and can’t wait to share these words and memories with all our guests.
17:00 - 18:00 - Quiz
Kahoot! Quiz Those who know Cameron and Joe will already know how much they love a good quiz — in fact, they’re even part of their own quiz team, The Council of Fools. To bring a bit of that fun into the day, we’ll be hosting our very own wedding quiz, which we’ll also be taking part in. Get ready for a light-hearted challenge to see who really knows Cameron and Joe best, along with a fun mix of questions about Scarborough and Retford. It’s all designed to bring everyone together, spark some laughs, and add a personal touch to the celebrations. We can’t wait to see how everyone gets on — and who surprises us with their knowledge!
18:00 - 18:30 - Mr & Mr
We’ll be playing our own twist on the classic “Mr & Mrs” game — reimagined as the Mr & Mr Quiz. This playful part of the day is all about having a laugh and seeing how Cameron and Joe answer a series of light-hearted, revealing, and sometimes cheeky questions. Every guest will be given a paddle with Cameron’s face on one side and Joe’s on the other. After each question is read out, guests will vote on who they think best fits the scenario. Meanwhile, Cameron and Joe will be casting their own answers anonymously and without seeing each other’s choices, adding a fun element of surprise for everyone watching. It’s a lively, entertaining moment that gets everyone involved and brings plenty of laughter to the celebration.
18:00 - 19.00 - Evening Guests Arrive
As the afternoon celebrations come to a close, we’ll be welcoming our evening guests — the final arrivals of the day and the ones bringing the party energy with them. This is when the celebrations open up, the atmosphere lifts, and the night truly begins. Our evening guests will join us ready to dance, laugh, and enjoy the excitement of the celebrations as we move into the livelier part of the night. Whether you’re arriving fresh for the evening or have been with us since earlier in the day, this is your moment to step into the celebration and help us make the rest of the night unforgettable. We can’t wait to welcome everyone and share the party together.
19:00 - 19:15 - Cake Cutting
One of the sweetest moments of the evening will be our cake cutting, where we’ll take a moment together to share this classic wedding tradition with all our guests. It’s a lovely chance for everyone to gather around, snap a few photos, and enjoy a light-hearted moment before the party continues. The cake cutting marks the start of the evening festivities and brings everyone together for a short but meaningful celebration. We’re really looking forward to sharing this moment with you all before we head back to the dance floor.
19:15 - 23:59 - Party / Disco
As the lights dim and the music starts, our evening party and disco will get underway — the part of the night where everyone comes together to dance, celebrate, and enjoy the atmosphere. Whether you’ve been with us since the morning or you’re joining us fresh for the evening, this is your time to let loose and help us make the night unforgettable. Expect great music, plenty of energy, and a dance floor ready for absolutely everyone. From the first song to the final track, it’s all about celebrating, laughing, and creating memories with the people we love. We can’t wait to dance the night away with you all.
Where Are We Getting Married?
We’re getting married at The Elms — a luxurious yet welcoming hotel, restaurant, and bistro in the heart of Retford. The building still carries the rustic charm of its original stables and grounds, giving it a unique blend of character and elegance. It’s a beautiful setting that feels both intimate and special, and we can’t wait to celebrate our day with you there.
ACCOMMODATION AT THE ELMS
There are no guest rooms available to book at The Elms, as Cameron and Joseph have reserved all rooms for family members travelling from further away. We’ll be contacting those guests directly with details and arrangements.

PARKING
The Elms offers free on-site parking for all guests. When you arrive, please give your car registration to the front desk so the hotel can log it — this ensures you won’t receive any parking charges. Retford is easy to reach by car or train, and if you’ll need a taxi after the evening celebrations, we recommend booking in advance to avoid delays.

What Should I ware?
Please ware Smart, Comfortable wedding attire, there is no direct dress code however our theme is WHITE, DARK GREEN, ORANGE & BURGUNDY so if you feel you want to dress accordingly you can.
What time should I arrive?
Guests for the Ceremony can arrive from 12.15pm, with the ceremony starting at 1pm. Guests who are arriving for the Wedding Breakfast should arrive by 2pm for the reception drink. Guests arriving for the Evening Party can arrive from 6.30pm ready to disco the night away. PLEASE ONLY ARRIVE AT THE TIME YOUR INVATATION STATES, Thank You
Is there parking at the hotel?
Yes the hotel has a large car park, guests need to speak with reception on arrival so there car is logged in the system so no parking charges are issued.
Can we bring Children?
Every guest will have there own invite THIS INCLUDES CHILDREN. Please only being children who have been directly invited and have there own invitation, as individuals who attend and are not on the guest list will be denied entry to our wedding.
Will there be food?
Yes, For day guests there is the Weeding Breakfast 3 course Meal of your choosing. For evening Guests there is a Buffet style Food table provided.
I have a dietary Requirement - who do i need to tell?
Please inform Cameron or Joseph as soon as possible so we can contact the Venue ASAP to accommodate your Needs.
what time douse the evening party finish?
The DJ and celebrations will run until around MIDNIGHT, please stay as long as you like because we will be dancing until the end!
Can I take photos?
Yes - but PLEASE use the QR code provided to share your shots with Cameron and Joseph so they can build the best memory board and video of your view of our day.
Is there a bar?
Yes, there is a fully stocked and licensed bar. please be aware there are times the bar will be closed during the day.
Will there be a seating plan?
Yes, Please only sit whare Cameron and Joseph have placed you in the seating plan. it is there for a reason
How do i RSVP ?
You can RSVP by The Website or over email please be prompt as People who have not RSVP'd by October 1st will bot have a place at the Wedding.
